The newspaper today featured an article that has shown that clinically speaking, it IS possible to die of a broken heart. Mainly due to the fact that when one is depressed or emotionally stressed, it affects the body as well and these long term stress factors contribute to an sharp increase of over 30% more likelihood for the stress-ee to suffer from heart related illnesses and diseases.

In another related segment, women who do not communicate their feelings and keep them bottled up when in a martial spat are also more likely to drop dead. Ok, drop dead's a bit too direct, it states that such women are more likely to suffer from heart related illnesses and diseases than other women who talk to and resolve differences with their spouses when fighting. And interestingly, the report also noted that men who keep their feelings bottled up shows no change in likelihood of contracting heart related illnesses and diseases. The explanation? Most men who keep their feelings bottled up do so to keep the peace as surveyed from the over 600 couples who participated in the test.

Lessons learnt:
Gals shld stop the cold war thing, talk to guys more often.

Okay, i've already been sidetracked from what i wanted to blog about, which is: Since it's clinically possible to die from a broken heart, is it possible to die from a du-lan heart?

I'm du-lan of my OC, my CSM, my vocation, my work, NS and my life in general. So if the medical findings as reported is true, being du-lan would have an adverse effect on my health and well being in general which would in fact mean that the gah-men is responsible for any heart related illness and diseases i may or may not develop in the future.

Coming weekend burned due to trial run for the upcoming 15km REAL RUN organised by HomeTeamNS and due to the fact that im scheduled to work on saturday, afterwhich i need to book in by 2359 and moving off to Changi at 0400hrs the following sunday and coming back around afternoon before continuing my duties as Duty Instructor for sunday evening. WOW! a whole weekend spent in camp, how exciting. yay~

Original plan was to stay in camp til thursday but had to cut the plans short as i couldnt bear to stay another night in camp. Well, it isnt really that bad but i think i'll take the 1hr+ journey to and fro and the waking up at 0530 hrs over staying in anyday. It's just the feeling of sian-ness while one is at camp that compels many a good fella to go crazy.
