"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams?

[160308] more often than not, sequels disappoint

Caught Step Up 2, i guess its those kind of sequels that fail to live up to their predecessors. The first step up was solid, plot wise but suffered from a lack of dancing scenes. The second step up has tonnes of dance scenes that will blow you away but lack punch in the plot. It was nice seeing Tyler (lead from the 1st step up) make a cameo appearance and IMHO, his opening dance sequence facing off against Andie was the BEST dance sequence in the entire movie bettering even the climatic dance sequence of the 2 crews battling. What really irks me was the CHEESY moment when Andie gave the speech about the streets and dancing yada yada yada... blah blah blah... so freakin cheesy loh... cant stand it man... cant believe they actually allowed it in.

This time the soundtrack is more familiar with the likes of T-low, Missy Elliot and Akon gracing the films with their songs. No memorable impressions with the OST unlike the first one with many groovy beats and tunes. Thumbs up overall to the first step up, only thing that makes step up 2 better than the first one?

Briana Evigan - hotness personified.
