Me, myself & I
"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams? I had the day off during monday and tuesday and strangely enough, i felt so darn bored and restless at home... perhaps, im too used to my routine of going to work already but when working sometimes also really feel sickening.. haha.. i cant seem to make up my mind... monk summarises everything in a single simple straight to the point sentence,"Work, you complain, no work, you also complain, what you want???" Haha, kindda true... but sometimes, when working also get all the shit... sickening, people are motivated by recognition and appreciation (especially in the F & B line, a simple please, smile and thank you goes a LOOOOOOOOOOONnnnnnnnnngggg way.. trust me on this) Friend of mine coverting to part-time from full time... and might be quitting soon.. apparently because of the management.. oh well... shit happens on a daily basis... Not everyone's cut out for the F & B line... My interviewer asked me during my interview what qualities would I need to work in tcc? My answer was, "an innate desire to please and serve" Sounds very politically correct huh? haha... it might sound that way, but i seriously think that for anyone to succeed in this industry, the above attitude is a must or at least have some form of it... otherwise, it's easy to be disheartened and fed up with all the kind of shit one has to put up... Dont get me wrong, im still fine working at tcc, experienced some shit every now and then but nahz, it passes... afterall, cant exactly expect everything to be smooth sailing all the time.. Working again tomorrow and on saturday... Polling day! I think the PAP's gonna win in the elections again... cant see them losing seriously when i look at the highlights of the elections on the telly or on the newspaper... the issues that the opposition tries to bring up... erm... no substance behind them? oh well... my view on the elections is simple. PAP's been in power since we've been independent, they've managed to turn a small island nation with no form of natural resources to a first world country (well, supposedly we're a first world country) to one of the safest, cleanest, modern and corruption free country in South East Asia and possibly Asia and beyond... The logic is simple: Be thankful. And if it aint broke, why fix it? |
