Me, myself & I
"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams? Sunday, October 08, 2006 [080906] A weary day
Im feeling more and more weary as the weeks pass... a weight somehow bearing down on me... im weary in mind, body and heart... a tiredness that somehow seems to stem from thin air, so so tired... another weekend zooms past me... quite a tiring week in camp this week... Lotsa PTs and i took my first IPPT... failed it of course seeing that i still cant do my pull ups.. and surprisingly i failed my standing broadjump as well... only consolation was that i managed to get full points for both my shuttle run and situps while i ran a pretty decent 2.4, clocked in at ard 10:40 mins... there'll be a retest for those failures tomorrow, those who passed get to stay out from tuesday til friday but doubt i'll be one of them... Caught Word Trade Centre yesterday at Cathay Causeway Point... overall, kinnda disappointing though it looked so promising, in the end, it was only a so-so film... of course i guess it's hard to portray a tragedy of such magnitude in a politically correct and sensitive manner but somehow the heroics of those who perished while trying to save others werent really properly portrayed but credits given to the authencity of the sets and the overall film of the film... it's quite an emotionally charged film, i shed a few tears towards the end but i find Ladder 49 to be more touching... overall a good film but dont get your hopes raised too high... World Trade Centre - 2.5 popcorns out of 5 After the movie, rushed down to University Cultural Centre to catch SP Superstars, first ever musical production by Singapore Poly... managed to get a complimentary ticket from Esther... thanks gal... it was definately worth it... very subtle digs at both singing contests Singapore Idol and Superstars... 4 main characters were Rafik (think taufik), Sky (Sly), Shelley (Kelly) and Kay (Kelvin?)... my first ever musical and i enjoyed myself tremendously... wonderful injections of humour, singlish and beautifully written songs and the main leads did a pretty good job at their singing not to mention the rest of the cast as well... Sorry that i didnt stay after the show ended... i figured that you'll be busy celebrating with your friends after the finale and everything... sorry if i sounded tired or disinterested on the phone... perhaps im just tired... but somehow i was kinnda surprised when you called me also... stunned abit also dunno what to say... well, whatever i wanted to convey was in that sms i sent ya... it was great to see ya performing on stage cause you looked great with your boundless energy and smile... performing's in your blood i guess... only regret was i didnt have a chance to see you dance back in your ballet days... but i think you must have been great too... guess you'll be starting school soon... all the best for your studies! thanks once again for the ticket ya? I wont be able to become a firefighter due to my eye degrees... so most probably i'll stay on in BRTC for the BRT... no more ERS, no more chance of becoming an officer... im aiming for the medical orderly vocation after POP... POP's on the 24th of November... guess time will pass by fast... 7 more weeks to POP... "shine your light down on me, lift me up where i can breathe, shine your light when you're gone... give me the strength to carry on to carry on..." i wish i hadnt asked at all... |
