Me, myself & I
"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams? Sunday, October 15, 2006 [151006] The Departed
Just came back from catching the Departed the hollywood adaptation of Hong Kong's Infernal Affairs... First thought before watching the show was that wondering how closely the hollywood adaptation would follow to the original screen play but it hardly mattered as I have yet to watch Infernal Affairs I, II or III. The movie started out quite slowly building up on the main characters' past before moving on with the plot itself... after which, it became a quite a fast and dark pyscho thriller based around the 2 main characters... Surprisingly, the movie was really built quite nicely around the two main leads and the plot twists and ending really left me kinnda surprised... Was really impressed with Leonardo's acting, his character's desperation as well as emotions were honestly and accurately protrayed and could really feel his solemn mood throughout the movie itself... though i dont really have a comparison to make between the Hollywood and Hong Kong version, i must say The Departed is one of the better movies i have watched thus far this year... highly recommended... The Departed - 4.5 popcorns out of 5 Caught the trailer for The Guardian yet again and i must say i cant wait for the release of the movie on Oct 24th... a must watch for me personally... somehow this kind of movie genre has always got me excited, something about the novelty of the American civil service branches... The Police Departments, The Fire Departments, The Coast Guard, The Army, Navy and Air Force... Another must watch i guess would be Transformers The movie due next year... like many of those born in the 80s, most of us grew up watching Transformers, the animated series... im no different.. the epic battle between the Decepticons and the Autobots... captured the hearts, minds and imagination of so many kids... and to stand here decades later to learn that there's gonna be a Transformers movie out somehow sets my heart racing, hope the movie doesnt disappoint... Speaking of all things old and remembering all the memories... i've been hooked on my SNES emulator playing an old game i used to enjoy alot during my primary school days... Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons.. a RPG set during the golden age of exploration and sailing in the early 1500s in Europe where the 6 sea faring powers of England, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the Ottoman Empire battle it out with each other to establish themselves as the ultimate power. Ahh.. they dont make games like these no more... a game rich in history, facts and replayability... Booking in tomorrow morning.. life goes back to being the same... a recruit's life... 6 more weeks to POP... im still feeling heavy hearted.. i wish the feeling would go away... wish i really hadnt asked... if i could turn... |
