"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams?

[251206] Lonesome, boring holiday

Merry xmas y'all for those who celebrate this holiday anyways... from what i gather, not many of you do... but for those that do, are you even aware of the actual significance of Christmas itself? To celebrate the birth of Jesus of course! duh! hate to burst your bubble but Jesus wasnt exactly born on dec 25th...

"Christmas Day falls on December 25. It is preceded by Christmas Eve on December 24, and in some countries is followed by Boxing Day on December 26. Some Eastern Orthodox Churches celebrate Christmas on January 7, which corresponds to December 25 on the Julian calendar. December 25 as a birthdate for Jesus is merely traditional, and is not widely considered to be his actual date of birth." - as quoted on Wikipedia

Ah.. so now you know... to some historians, Christmas was used by the Church to convert pagans who celebrated Winter solstice but hey, in this modern day and age, christmas is just another holiday, a great excuse for friends to meet up, throw parties and buy gifts...

Xmas eve was spent walking around Vivocity as I accompanied Redfox to work... he promptly left for St. James Park Power Station while i continued on exploring vivocity... it's HUGE! and that's why i felt kinnda disappointed and annoyed at the poor signs depicting stores, restrooms and the like... no wonder it's spending another $1.1 million dollars to revamp its signs and restrooms... unlike other shopping establishments where the restrooms seem to be always in the cleanest condition, vivo's restrooms were pitiful to say the least...

walked around the first floor... went thru the addidas concept shop and Levi's and still cant find anything that would be suited for a birthday gift for a friend... and so the quest continued onwards to the second floor.. i've heard from friends how confusing it is to walk around vivo and i had a taste of it yesterday with the building hardly being symmetrical, it's little wonder people get disorientated easily... and the walkway on the second level was a bit too narrow for my liking considering the throng of humanity present yesterday... there's a huge bookstore there... right up there with the big boys - Borders & Kinokuniya

Came across 2 interesting restraunts yesterday... Canivore - offers buffet lunches at $19 and from the menu, it looks highly promising... Modestos - offering authentic Italian oven baked pizzas and Italian pastas... will be looking to try these two places sooner than later i hope... i met blackie soon after then walked around somemore before deciding to head back... vivo in the end wasnt worth all the hype... it's just another mall.. he headed on to meet JJ and Joey while i decided to do the right thing... head on home... i've enough of Music Heritage... i wasnt going to MH for the 3rd consecutive weekend...

Next week's gonna be another longweekend, oops.. should be this week... hmmm.. looking forward to Gracie's bday gathering... should be a blast... another class gathering... as 2006 draws to an end, and 2007 looms just above the horizon, let's all take a moment and reflect on this year shall we?
