[031206] Shopping spree

Im poorer by $400 after an afternoon out... but before jumping to conclusions, let me clarify first... i didnt go on a $400 shopping spree... 1/4 was spent on my handphone and internet bills... kinnda heart wrenching right now when i think of it... but nonetheless, im satisfied with the items i've purchased...

I would say i seldom indulge myself in shopping for new clothing but i desperately needed jeans as most of my jeans arent really fitting no more after losing so much weight over the past year and thus compelled me to this little excurison into town this fine sunday afternoon...

Met up with Vince to conclude the deal on a NUFC jersey that he grew out of and so happened that it fit perfectly much to my own delight as I happily paid the $40 to Vince for third hand shirt that was

a) extremely hard to find these days &

b) still in very good condition

Decided to hang around while waiting for Black to join me but he cancelled last minute as he was too shagged out after his morning soccer session, met up with redfox instead after his grueling 42km Standard Chartered marathon... nice finisher's addidas tshirt which was practically worn by every other person around the general vincinity of City hall and raffles city...

He waited around as i sought out my jeans... where else but at Levi's... tried on 2 pairs, decided quickly that i wouldnt mind the promotional offer of 50% off on a Levi's engineered jeans along with a nice tshirt... all in all, finished everything in around 20 minutes or so... somehow, i swear by a few brand names when it comes to clothing articles... Levi's & addidas are 2 such examples... i've friends who swear by nike and nothing else in terms of sporting brands... no addidas, reebok or puma, only Nike will do for him... i guess all of us have a few special brands that are close to our hearts...

Digged up an old picture i had stored somewhere from an old email titled "Women as explained by engineers"... really explained easily how generally the males differ from females when intending to buy something... Im a typical, know what to buy, go into shop and buy it kindda of guy so somehow it always amuses me when i accompany gals on a shopping trip... endless walking in and out of shops countless trying ons of clothing... oh well.. cant help it i guess.. perhaps it's embedded within our genes...

Talked with redfox about the experience of the marathon itself and it got me kinnda interested in joining the Standard Chartered marathon next year as well... gotta start training as the event nears next year, i guess but with so much free time during weekdays when i stay in, i dont envision any major problems to it... hmmm... something to ponder over the next year or so...

Reason 310385: because i want to feel the burn, the pain and the agony... bring on the pain...
