Me, myself & I
"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams? Sunday, December 03, 2006 [031206] Our cliques that click
It's been a long time since i've last updated... seems between every period of consistent updating would be followed by a stagnant period. Guess the lazy blogger syndrome decided to rear its ugly head yet again... Spent the first week officially as an instructor back at BRTC, basic routine of daily maintenance and helping out the admin guys if they require help... otherwise, would be just slacking around, reading or playing board games... main thing is to just pass time... had 2 days of 'training' so called... our 'instructor course' so to speak... mainly lectures, a team building session and an extremely insightful Neuro-Linguistic Programming course... kinnda really starting to get the idea of how screwed up BRTC really is... through the course review conducted by one of the coy OC... in the end, the course review turned out or should i say slipped into more of a shooting and complaining session.. really messy and counter productive and of course did nothing to address the main issue of course review... walked around town last saturday as i had some buffer time before watching Happy feet.... went around looking at jeans as i really need at least a new pair of jeans seeing how i've been more or less been wearing the same pair over and over again these days... managed to pick up a bargain on books as i finally managed to get my hands on Mario Puzo's The Godfather... plus managed to get The Sicilian and The Last Don also by Mario Puzo for only $26.70... extremely pleased with the bargain price... Finished The Godfather and The Sicilian during the days spent in camp, now reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova courtesy of Firrdaus... found a couple of book worms amongst the instructors as well... Went to a pub yesterday night with JJ, Cindy, Blackie, Redfox, Meiting... & lulu who had to leave early after barely sitting down with us for 15 minutes... quite a cool and neat place to chill, Music Heritage @ Boatquay owned by a friend of a friend of JJ's... had my first taste of Martell... pleasantly surprised at how it tasted... quite smooth and aint really that strong or overpowering in taste... quite nice actually... decided to head on home as they decided to go clubbing but had to detour back to send cindy as she was feeling slightly off... sent her back and took a cab back and crashed at 0300 hrs... Slept all the way til 1200++, been such a long time since i've had such a satisfying and undisturbed night's rest... Grace and Helmut are back in Singapore after finishing their semesters in their respective uni in Australia. Original plan was to meet up at Serangoon mrt at 1700 hrs but i left home only ard 1630 hrs... heh mainly due to the fact that i forgot about the time as i played FM07, yep... it's that addictive... it has that kind of power over a mortal... im a slave to FM07, not completely but almost... haha... pleasantly surprised yet again that the small gathering turned out to be a large one as celine, amy, big Grace, pei xuan, jade, hui zhen, nicky and cui xia all turned up to meet up with our long lost Gracie and helmut freshly returned from down under... headed over to Gracie's place for Krispy Kreme... supposedly a very famous brand of donuts in Sydney... people buy 6-8 boxes of donuts at a time supposedly... didnt know Australians had such a thing for donuts... to be honest.... it was a little too sweet for my liking.. ermm... actually, it's freaking sweet... sugar overload... hope i wont become diabetic because of the donuts earlier on.. but thanks gracie anyways for the donuts... that flew all the way from down under... had a grand tour of her place followed by tcss in her attic... yep, her place had a sort of attic that's like a chill out place... coolness... if i was you, grace, i seriously would have fought tooth and nail for the attic to be my bedroom... man, it's HUGE! Headed down to chomp chomp for a sumptous meal of BBQ stingray, sambal kang kong and various assortments of delightful dishes... bet that they dont serve dishes like that down under, do they? heh... singaporeans still know best when it comes to makan... and what the hell is singapore noodles??? geez... we have fish ball noodles, wantan noodles but singapore noodles? But i think you better not break them aussies hearts by telling them that the Singapore noodles they enjoy so much down under dont really exist back here... even after so many months... been almost five months... nothing seems to have changed with everybody except for miss helmut... with her/his hair... lol... man, get a haircut already... it seems nothing has changed... everyone fell easily into conversation and good natured joking and teasing... grace, bet you're glad you're back home arent ya? they dont make you laugh like how we do it here back home do they? once again, it never fails to amaze me how despite us all having cliques of our own... our cliques all click.. yep... and im thankful... cliques that click... remember that always... cheers... |
