[251207] tis' the season of reels

as of today, i've caught 4 movies this month... Alvin & the Chipmunks, The Golden Compass, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets and I am Legend, with a possible 5th later on, seeing that i got a cathay movie voucher redeemed from some reward thingy... caught I AM LEGEND yesterday with the same group of ppl with additional 6 ppl whom we call the 'NBSS family'

The show started slowly and would remain so throughout the film, the film is punctuated by the occasional action filled scenes which were few and far in between and the few heart stopping moments which pretty much scared the girls. erm, ladies, it aint THAT scary. The trailer painted I AM LEGEND as an action horror genre show akin to Resident Evil but it'll sorely disappoint the action junkees. The main premises of the movie revolves around the lead character played by Will Smith who i think did a brilliant job in portraying Robert Neville as he struggled with the terms of the apocalyptic disaster that has befallen the human race. loneliness, insanity and boredom are the other enemies as he fought to survive in an empty new york city. Hunting, gathering and surviving while trying in futile to come up with a cure against the mutant KV virus. The flashbacks provided a key insight in what really happened pre-dating the years the story began from. The ending was a real let down but overall the film only deepens my desire to read the book by Richard Matheson on which the film is based on.

I think guests at marche need to be handed cards that help them in the pronunciation of certain food items we carry in our menu. This has a 2 fold benefit. Firstly, the guests wont feel like fools when they pronounce the word wrongly and secondly, the team members serving them wont be actually making fun of them. Some words that we possibly can help them with.

Salmon Roesti pronounced as Sal-Mon Ro-Sti. Not SMELLMON Roti
Mushroom Ragout pronounced as Mush-Room Ra-Goo Not Mushroom RAG-OUT
Crepes pronounced as Creep Not CRAP, CRIK, CRAK or whatother variations you got
