"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams?

[311205] Just woke up not long ago... reached home around 0430 hrs after catching midnight show at Cathay Cineleisure with Qin Hao after going for NPCC Nite, quite a disappointment for the inaugural event at NPCC HQ, perhaps it was the place.. too formal and uptight even with the "make-over" it's still HQ... we can take pictures at the Range *WOW!!!* 'i've always wanted to have my pics taken at the range.. yeah right... *rolls eyes*

MC was lame, games played was lame, food sucked and the fans didnt seem to be doing their jobs.. the company at least wasnt that bad... but after recieving QH's sms, straight away went off and met him at Novena.. decided on Chronicles of Narnia (Digital) at 0040 hrs.. hmm.. so what's the freakin' diff between the CoN i watched and the 'normal' CoN at 0310 hrs?? The digital CoN well didnt seem to be any different from any other film i've seen before..

Well it's New Year's Eve today.. and many ppl would be off to celebrate the coming of 2006.. it has got me wondering who the heck decided to celebrate the coming of the new year?? what's the significance of it if anything? My guess, it's just another day to hold a party, get urself high, drunk, laid.. whatever etc etc blah blah blah... with the coming of the new year, New year's resolutions are a norm... but most of the time, aftering writing it, we just chuck in all the way in the back of the mind and we're left with oops... i didnt fulfill my New Year's Resolution.. to carry on this proud tradition, i shall write down my very own New Year's Resolution.. *ahem* here goes:

1. GRADUATE (4 years too long in SP)
2. Lose weight (65kg would be ideal)
3. Pass Out from NPCC (A few more months... and i'll be gone... been 8 years too many)
4. Move on with my life... (void void void... emptiness, sian-ness)

Chronicles of Narnia, a children's novel by L.S Lewis, The Lion, The Witch and The Warobe... hmmm.. the story's well very children oriented with many subtle notions of moral values of scarifice, family love and forgiveness. The story's pretty ok.. but quite what you would expect from any children's film, happy ending at the end... The fight scenes were decent but i think any and all fantasy films would now have to live under the shadow of Lord of The Rings as the benchmark for cinematography, music score, screenplay (adpated one abeit that) and general feel has been set by Peter Jackson's Magnificent trilogy... All in all, CoN a decent film but nothing spectacular that i've not already seen...

[271205] Just came back from watching Joyeux Noel (Merry Christmas) at Causeway point.. damn fine weather this evening, drizzling lightly with cooling temperatures.. perfect opportunity to wear the sweater i bought.. darn comfy lahz.. especially in the cinema..

Joyeux Noel (Merry Christmas), The movie was inspired by a true story, which happened on Christmas Eve 1914 during World War I in many different places along the front lines. When war broke out in the lull of summer 1914, it surprises and pulled millions of men in its wake. When Christmas arrives, with its snow and multitude of family and army bundles. But the surprise wont come from inside the generous parcels which lie in the French, Scottish and German Trenches. That night, a momentous event will turn the destinies of 4 characters: A Scottish priest, A French lieutanant, An exceptional German tenor and the one he loves and sings with, A Danish Soprano. They will find themselves at the heart of an unprecedented fraternisation between German, British and French troops. During that Christmas Eve, the unthinkable will happen: rifles will be left at the bottom of trenches and steps will be taken towards those opposite, to shake their hands, exchange a cigarette or a piece of chocolate, to wish them Merry Christmas - Synopsis on official site

The music score for this movie is unbelievable.. all in all a great watch for any day... Y'all shld try and catch it.. a really heart warming story of basic human values, interaction, love and true test of faith..

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris

And I’d give up forever to touch you
’cause I know that you feel me somehow
You’re the closest to heaven that i’ll ever be
And I don’t want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
’cause sooner or later it’s over
I just don’t want to miss you tonight

And I don’t want the world to see me
’cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can’t fight the tears that ain’t coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you’re alive

And I don’t want the world to see me
’cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken

I just want you to know who I am

And I don’t want the world to see me
’cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don’t want the world to see me
’cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

[191205] Just came back from watching SAW II.. yep.. finally managed to catch the bloody show (no pun intended)... it was damn worth the seven dollars i paid for it... but somehow knowing some parts of the show thru the review kinnda kills it a bit.. yep.. just a bit... but the overall experience was still great but it pales in comparison while watching the original SAW... guess still could see flashes of the previous directors even though SAW II's director a newbie (yep, SAW II's his virgin project with lotsa help from the previous directors)

Supposedly, the script for SAW II was to be for another movie but the producers over at the movie company though it was perfect for SAW II so in came the new director after the 2 original director decided not to take the project something about not wanting to destroy the novelty of their first film which they made as a one off film and didnt plan for any sequels... anyways.. in the end, they did help out with the script.. by changing over 80% of the original script in order for the film to stay true to the original feel and focus..

I watched SAW on dvd and watched it with the director's commentary as well and thru it, they discussed reasons why a certain scene was shot in that particular reason or way or just recollecting funny tales while doing the actual filming.. for those of you who didnt know, ADAM was played by one of the directors.. so that was pretty cool.. there was one scene in the opening of the movie in which Matthews (the lead character in SAW II) moves from his hotel room to the crime scene and the way the camera moves so reminded me of a scene in the original SAW which used the same technique..

The twists were there.. and really quite unexpected though for those of us who have bad memory or didnt watch SAW, we would have missed subtle links from SAW II linking it back to SAW... like why was the camera panned onto the name plate of the doctor John (Jigsaw) went to, LAWRENCE GORDON... ring a bell? yep.. he's the other guy stuck with ADAM in the room in the original film... in the original film, JIGSAW was his patient... and Dr. Gordon giving him the news that he had cancer set him off his way... AMANDA came back.. which was a pleasant surprise after surviving the JAWS of DEATH in the first film... though some poor decisions perhaps made by the directors..

I know that they're trying to tie the first film to SAW II but seriously, why would a room in the house have a secret doorway to another basement which ultimately leads to a toliet? AND in SAW, when the detective played by Danny Glover chased a suspect thought to be jigsaw, the cameras clearly showed the chase scene ending in a industrial facility of some sorts.. or a factory at least.. with the entrance to the place thru basements and place full of pipes.. and you had to climb down a ladder.. so it kinnda didnt make sense... for the room/toliet that ADAM and LAWRENCE were held in to suddenly *poof!!* appear beneath a house in a hidden entrance.. geez... where DO you find a house like that?? But the directors probably saw this loophole and tried to minimise the impact by showing Matthews just entering a doorway and not showing the entire structure of the house... but the damage was done..

The ending followed the ending of the first SAW which kinnda ties in with everything in the movie... GAME OVER and the door slams close.. which leaves it pretty much open for another sequel.. which i wouldnt be too surprised if it evers comes about... the ending's too open ended.. lol.. no statement no end... In conclusion, SAW was a great film and its sequel unlike many other sequels which flopped did pretty okay to me at least.. with twists and plot developments that I didnt really come to expect and oooooo.. the manner in which the victims died just got more varied.. and BEVERLY MITCHELL was in it!!!! She's plays the second sis in 7th Heaven remember? hey.. ya cant go wrong with a gal like her.. ;) SAW II is a must watch but not for the squirmish and faint at heart... some of the scenes are graphic.. nothing much to me at least.. SAW II, yea there will be blood.. how true.. it's a bloody film alright.. BLOODY BRILLANT!!!!!

[181205] I personally dun believe in the existance of God but each to his/her own... you people have your beliefs and i have mine, we can still get along as long as you dun try to 'convert' me or 'enlighten' me or try and 'convince' me of his love etc etc etc... blah blah blah.. ah.. the wonders of free will.. Anyways, came across this song.. really sets u thinking doesnt it? WHAT IF HE WAS ONE OF US?? cheers to all..
WHAT IF GOD WAS ONE OF US - JOAN OSBOURNE
If God had a name, what would it be
And would you call it to his face
If you were faced with him in all his glory
What would you ask if you had just one question
And yeah yeah God is great yeah yeah God is good
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
What if God was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
If God had a face what would it look like
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in jesus and the saints and all the prophets
And yeah yeah god is great yeah yeah god is good
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
What if God was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
He's trying to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody calling on the phone
Except for the pope maybe in rome
And yeah yeah God is great yeah yeah God is good
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
What if god was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
Just trying to make his way home
Like a holy rolling stone
Back up to heaven all alone
Just trying to make his way home
Nobody calling on the phone
Except for the pope maybe in rome

[181205] Morning people.. just woke up after a super long night.. reached home ard 0430hrs.. came from Fluid's watching the DELAYED telecast of West Ham Newcastle game... damn sickening.. wait so god damn long and in the end final scores were 'leaked', also like no mood to watch the game.. the atmosphere in Fluid's was so different and cold lahz.. i think even the table ice hockey game generated more excitement and joy... lol.. like what richard said, $1 to make 6 guys happy... why not??

Spent most of yesterday slacking one way or another.. playing computer games and watching TV.. watched THE DISTRICT and THE WEST WING.. quite nice shows.. You guys shld see it if ya have the time... Went to eat Tappan-Yaki yesterday.. been a looooonnnnnggg time since i had that.. wasnt fabulous but it wasnt that bad either... had to wait super long before my beef set came along... there were so many people waiting for their food but only 1 chef.. imagining 1 chef cooking for ard 10 ppl and u get the idea how long it took..

Then headed to City Link as the lads went to Norm's place to wash up so in the end didnt meet them until Fluid's... scrolled ard HMV listening to songs.. listened to the Greenday and Simple Plan live albums.. as well as Machi.. finally found the song... it's called Mei Pan Fa... darn nice.. you guys shld check it out.. there were these road shows where ppl performed beside HMV and like everyone else went to see what's going on.. 4 guys doing hip hop but it shortly ended, proceeded to the bookshop (cant seem to remember the name) looked thru mags and some books of interest before singing brought me back to the performance area again..

ACAPELLA GRP!!!! So much respect for acapella groups man.. darn nice and polished vocals and no useage of any musical instructments save their voices.. The group was made up of 4 guys and a gal... 2 of the guys were mainly acting as the percussionists while the other 2 guys were mainly the lead singers the gal she chipped in with her fair bit of singing as well... They sang Last Christmas by George Michael and 2 italian numbers among others before rounding everything up with a very nice version of the Christmas classic, Jingle Bells.. had everyone cheering and clapping.. defintely worth my 20 mins standing there..

Only thing i know was that they had an album.. but i didnt know what's their band name.. speaking of acapella bands, Budak Pantai is another local acapella group that's really just wonderful... they're having their Christmas concert today at the Espanade... Oh well... no chance to watch them live.. haha.. guess that's all.. 2 weeks of holidays have started... cheers to all...

[111205] A bitter day... woke up at 0500 hrs and for the first time in a LOoooooonnnngggGGG time, i left the house and it was still dark all around.. eventually reached school around 0656 hrs... light begining to shine only.. and SP Mac wasnt even open for business all in the name of studying for hybridoma.. being the procrastinator that I am, left all the studying til the dying moments and even then didnt feel even a tinge of panic... becoming immune to the panic attacks that would normally seize any normal student that hasnt studied for a quiz...

After school went down happily to Far East to get my shirt BUT as always, I had hoped to buy the shirt and yet again i was disappointed... the shirt was gone!!! Gone!!! sighz.. and felt so cheated.. went all the way from school and it was gone! Darn.. shld have bought the shirt on saturday.. too late to regret now.. once again.. the quote proves true.. "Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment"

Just finished doing the hybridoma datasheet, damn killer man.. the whole class all worked up over it lahz.. except for Vincent lah, he finished like last week... diaoz... haha.. oh well, guess i'll be seeing a lot of pandas tml from all the midnight oil burning in the night... lolz.. Had a super fun mass chat with classmates earlier on.. crapped and crapped.. online TCS session.. haha.. let's see who was there... Grace (the star attraction, lol) Pei Xuan, Helmut, Karen, Alex, KQM was there briefly and of course me.. haha.. laughed and laughed and laughed lahz.. been a long time since i had a mass chat and to think last think area CIs used to mass chat on msn all the time.. haha.. nothing much to chat about also these days with anyone.. last time used to chat with friends til wee hours of the moring but now.. haha.. getting old and senile.. nothing comes into mind anymore and no one around close to chat with also.. oh well.. deal with it eh? guess that's all.. cheers to all.. my shirt.. arrggghhh!!!!!

[091205] Arrrgghhh... my aching feet... reached home an hour or so ago after a LOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGG day walking around town.. damn shagged... i think window shopping shld be an olympic sport... it tests endurance (How long you can walk around without needing rest), determination (not succumbing to temptation and buy a particular item on impulse) and intelligence (knowing where to buy items at the cheapest prices). Guess the women folk would win this event hands down in the Olympics.. heh..

Met Jun Jian, Dharman, Yao Hui and Kenny to go town.. yep, Kenny.. haha... like super rare manage to ask him out lahz.. so long never see him liaoz.. haha.. first headed to city hall where we had lunch at Long John Silvers (again) hmmm.. am i addicted to it? somehow or rather, i always end up eating LJS whenever I eat in town.. Headed to Penisular plaza next to look at shoes and jerseys before heading to Funan to look at some computer stuff.. Headed straight to City Link thru Padang and into Marina Square cause JJ and the guys wanted to look at clothings.. guess they're all gearing up for Christmas shopping or new year shopping...

First purchase of the day was made by Jun Jian and Kenny.. took thei own sweet time in trying out some slippers lahz.. but also good lah, met Derrick coincidentally with Lydia (his gf), chatted abit before he left.. still the same old derrick lah.. haha.. great to have met him again.. perhaps I need to organise a class outing soon.. hmmm... Proceeded to look at shirts and T-shirts then.. and Kenny made the second purchase of the day with his Jacket.. nice light brown jacket.. quite cool.. helped Yao Hui select some shirts and ties for his sis's wedding, today all of us all part time fashion consultant... headed over to suntec city for a quick walk around before taking train to Orchard..

Had dinner at Far East Plaza's subway.. had the Meatball Mariana in Parmesan Oregano (I think) with added cheese and lotsa lettuce.. Yum... very very nice.. esp the melted cheese.. just oozes into the mouth lahz.. shiok man... anyways, Jun Jian left us to attend to meet his friends.. and that was when the real shopping spree began.. lol.. Kenny started the ball rolling by buying a metal cross thingy those that u wear around on a chain.. quite nice.. then Yao Hui also bought a pair of studs.. tried to wear them but his ear hole i think bled or something.. lol... in the end, didnt manage to wear also.. Kenny then proceeded to look for a chain for his cross thingy.. looked at some clothes at Freshbox.. Yao Hui came across an olive green tshirt but he lazy to try on.. came across this very nice shirt.. but didnt try... regretting it now lahz.. haha.. but most prob going back to try and most prob buy it on monday.. heh.. *whistles* for NPCC nite mahz.. that shirt can wear... smart casual.. shld be nice..

Headed over to Heereen's where we looked at more clothes.. haha.. already kenny was complaining that he shld not buy anymore stuff... but after taking a short break headed over to NewUrbanMale where YH and Kenny proceeded to buy their beach singlets with a little push from me.. heh.. devils's advocate... "Buy lah.. very nice u know..." Aiya, they dun need my 'encouragement' they would also buy one lahz.. they so 'gian' on the singlet liaoz.. took quite some time for them to try on the singlets.. but quite nice lahz... came across the notice in their shop saying they were closing at 2200 hrs cause the staff were going to ZoukOut.. haha.. cool huh? haha.. wanted to go to Flash N Splash but they also closed due to 'company function' aiya.. go ZoukOut, say go ZoukOut lahz.. company function.. geez.. haha..

Plaza Singapura was our next stop.. YH feeling more gian and wanted to buy more stuff.. but we stopped by Centrepoint briefly.. in the end, YH and me saw this very nice sweater.. haha.. very very very very very.. did i mention very? very very very comfy.. haha.. in the end bought it.. haha.. for $35.. quite a good deal.. can consider going there next time to look for clothes or something.. tried to tempt Kenny into buying but he refused to but I think he also quite like the sweater.. heh..

Too tired to go match and if i wanted to go, had to kill 2 hours plus by myself.. in the end decided not to.. but shld be able to watch the match later.. haha.. oh well.. saturday wasted.. need to study tml for mon's hybridoma.. sianz.. quiz again.. damn sickening man.. oh well.. 5 more days til 2 weeks break.. let the countdown begin...

turion at 23:46

[091205] Saturday morning.. *yawnz* slept for close to 10 hours.. my arms, thighs and even butt is aching.. ouch... still feeling the effects of wednesday's evening run with Qin Hao... been to long since i exercised.. haha.. body unaccustomed to the sudden onset of vigorus exercise.. haha.. lactic acid residues all over the body man... Nothing much to comment since my last entry...

Played badminton yesterday morning before class with Karen and Alex.. haha.. and Alex was super late lahz.. leaving me and karen to play for like close to an hour first before he came along.. then Pei Xuan and Grace put aeroplane... both couldnt wake up in time.. oh well.. but quite a fun time also lah.. Alex with his antics and it feels kinnda good playing after so many years.. how many years have it been? since secondary school i think since i played badminton.. a good 5-7 years since i played.. haha.. Class went on as usual... boring Dr Yuen class followed by Miss Chan's... managed to listen and pay attention though... but hybridoma quiz coming up on monday... so screwed man.. next week is last week of school!!!!! then 2 weeks of break.. haha.. CALL ME OUT ANYONE!!!! JALAN JALAN, TCS, MOVIE, ANYTHING!!!

Heading out to town (again) with JJ and probably Dharman or Yao Hui later... dun think i'll be back til like 4+ in the morning tomorrow.. it's NUFC vs ARSE at St. James Park today.. kickoff at 0100 hrs.. HOWAY THE LADS.. gonna sing my lungs out, cheer like no tomorrow and spew vulgarities with no remorse.. cheers to all.

[061205] Immunology is OVER!!! OVER OVER!!! OVER YA HEAR!!!! but next monday got Hybridoma and tml got GLMP... sianz.. study study study.. i feel im getting more and more stupid as the quizzes and tests go by... geez.. brain cells dying by the thousands and with me not having a lot to begin with.. u do the math.. if one day i sound stupid, please forgive and ignore me...

Went to school damn early today ard 8+ reached... but stopped over at FC4 for makan before heading to library to chiong my immuno... ordered the western store's Chicken Cutlet rice... the propotions are insanely huge.. it's obscene actually.. lol... but damn worth it.. value for money.. huge servings of chicken one bowl of rice and some cole slaw only for SGD$3.50.. what say you? hahaha.. ate liaoz.. damn full lah.. haha.. the meal turned out to be my only meal of the day... i ate 2 currypuffs ard 5 and a MacChicken ard 8+ so that's the only proper meal i had...

After school went to causeway point with Karen and Shi Hong to scout for bag for a friend's birthday this friday.. think he shld like the bag alot... Karen and me both think it's very nice.. haha.. tempted lah.. but dun really like sling bags lehz.. hmmm.. but the colour's just so me.. haha.. guess what colour? black lah.. Anyways.. the shopping was quite fast lah.. expected lah.. especially with me ard.. haha.. how do guys shop?

Aim in mind --> Enter shop scout --> check out few prices --> decide and buy --> mission accomplished

Think girls sidetrack a lot.. ok.. alot is a HUGE understatement.. perhaps girl's are born with an unknown chromosome that codes for their particular long shopping habits.. i dunno.. perhaps... Damian's Hypothesis.. u heard it here first! After that headed home and straight out to post office to send a package to Orlando, Florida, USA... took me one and a half freakin hours.. geez.. 5 forms to fill.. and it costs SGD$264.75 to send the 5kg package.. thru FedEx... will take less than one week.. but 264 dollars? madness.. no wonder they're earning money.. haha.. ka-ching!

In the end late for 15 mins ++ QH waited at my void deck.. heh.. pai seh ah brudder.. went to jog.. damn shag out.. too long since i last ran.. hmm.. ran my brains out lahz.. wahz totally KO man.. now damn kun and i think tml the legs and arms are going to hurt and be like jelly man.. wobbly.. haha.. oh well.. now online chatting with terence sharing and passing songs over.. haha.. found another kaki to share sentimental songs with.. for those of u who dun know, im a SUCKER for ballads... oh well. heh.. darn nice lah.. hmmm..

i dun think i can tahan liaoz.. my eyelids are giving up on me... struggling to keep them up plus i hear my bed calling for me.. that's all for today i guess... cheers to all...

i will never try to break your heart
我不愿这样
让爱情不由自主
陷入一场
两败俱伤的战
i will never try to break your heart
我真的不想
再面对没有你的寂寞夜晚
烟雾迷茫的孤单

Im a professional Procrastinator.. lolz.. "PROCRASTINATION - Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now. LAZINESS - Success is a journey, not a destination. So stop running." -quoted off Despair.com after which i proceeded to crash class during Dr. Sim's Agro.. she noticed me halfway thru and was like, "How come you're here?" Lunch was super funny.. haha.. with grace ard.. lol.. all of us taking turns to make her laugh... she's super ticklish lah.. say something, anything and she'll start laughing hysterically... worse thing is once u start, she cant stop.. super lame.. all the stupid stuff started shooting out.. Ah.. tml's friday.. the weekend is upon us once again.. hmm... what shall i do this weekend? Slacking at home probably.. Anyone wants to call me out? Jalan jalan or TCS?? I'm FREE!!!! geez.. that was desperate... oh well *whistles* came across a very interesting article on Today 2 days back.. quite an interesting insight from the author and it does make sense as well.. i quote, "One of the greatest myths about romantic love is that if a couple is genuinely in love, that condition is permanent and will last a lifetime. Love, even genuine love, is a fragile commodity. Like more than one popular song has said, love is like a rose. It must be carefully maintained and protected if it is to survive. Love can be easily overcome by the weeds of a busy life. When a husband or wife works seven days a week, when there's no time for romantic activity, when they forget how to talk to each other; then love can die."

The author then proceeds to recall how he took time off one day after work even when he had a ton of stuff to do and took a long stroll with his wife and how he took less academic work pushing his academic ambition down in order to salvage his marriage before it was too late. I guess the author was right in many ways, the talk of how communication is important in a relationship has been repeated for countless times but how many of us actually take the time to really talk with your significant other? Admist the bustle and hassle of our hectic lives, we often neglect what's most impt to us so for those who are attached or married and reading this, do take a time out and get a breather yah? Bring her out for a nice dinner and perhaps a nice stroll down singapore river or to the Espanade. Cheers to all...
