"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams?

[191008] updates on life

Been some time since i've updated. Nothing much to talk about, cant blog too much about my life also (restricted by company rules and regulations). Exams are coming in 2 weeks time, kindda getting kan-cheong over it. Foundations exams, 4 papers, passing mark = 80%. Stressed but still not gonna do anything about it. The procrastinator in me overrides any mere speck of logical thought i have.

One thing i can say is that i had fun during a.l.c.o.h.o.l.i.c beverages class, which other job allows you to learn and drink all during the official working hours? Had champagne (correction: sparkling wine, since the Jacobs Creek wasnt from champagne and thus cant be called champagne), a variety of cocktails and mocktails as well as red and white wines. happening indeed. To top it off, we were allowed free access to the BAR cart towards the end, made our own fav drinks. The B52 made by Kent was really nice. Creamy goodness with a tinge of ophfm!

went to zouk for the first time last night, you might find it shocking but then again, i dont exactly have the reputation of a clubber now do i? it was interesting to say the least, air crew pass got me in free but only to velvet and zouk, phuture was off limits but the citibank card opened all doors, members get in free to all 3. didnt dance as usual, just stood at a corner drinking and watching ppl dance. Didnt drink much either, i still like double O for the dirt cheap drinks and retro on sats. $12 for a jug and i can probably nurse 2 or 3 for the night. i still haven deciphered the logic and reasoning behind clubbing. I dont think i'll ever understand. i shall just stick to the drinking part when clubbing and the stoning that follows.

eagerly anticipating the arrival of november. really damn broke already. company cant process our payrolls in time for the october paydate. du-lanz. suck thumb, eat air and grass for the next 2 weeks liao.

[051008] post Northface 100

took me 9.5 hours to finish the northface 100. I don't think trail running is the thing for me especially when I didnt go train for it. First 22km and I've already had trouble with it. Aidan dropped out around the 18km mark leaving me alone to go for the finish line. Practically walked the entire way after the route at Bukit Timah nature reserve.

At least i completed it. (Northface staff was beginning to clear up by the time i reached. Cut off timing for the race was 8hours, when i left, there were still a couple of teams that were just reaching. Not the first but not the last either. In a race, what's most important is to just finish it.)

Think i'll just stick to the regular marathons.
