Me, myself & I
"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams? Sunday, September 23, 2007 [230907] Daughtry rocks!
Courtesy of Fee, managed to get into Chris Daughtry's showcase at Power House in St James Power Station, reached ard 1800+ but only managed to get in after one hour's worth of queuing as more and more people arrived. The lines were simply divided into VIP and those under Invites and SMS. After we managed to get in, squeezed to the front and found a nice spot from which to view the stage from, aint too bad seeing we're only around 5 - 8 metres away from the stage. The invite stated that the showcase was to start punctually at 1930 but guess what, we waited some more after we got in. it didnt start until ard 2000 hrs but what followed was spectacular. Chris Daughtry's the rock guy from the 2nd or 3rd season of American Idol who got knocked out even though it was widely accepted that he was the best singer amongst the remaining 4 contestants. Now i know why... unlike many singers whose live showcases sometimes disappoint, he didnt. Every song he sang was almost as good as the ones from the mp3 and boy was i impressed with his vocals. Having Andrea Fonseka as the emcee made the night even better.. She looked good on tv and magazines but dang! in real life, She IS hot la! Hottest female i've seen in person thus far. HOT HOT HOT! 1 hour and 7 songs later, the gig ended... i hope they'll come back in the near future with a full concert. Chris Daughtry and his bandAndrea Fonseka, Hotness personified. Funniest thing for the night, those so called VIP ticket holders, most of 'em didnt get in... ironic aint it? if i was one of 'em, i would have been pissed as hell... lesson learnt: arrive for such gigs early... way early... |
