Me, myself & I
"i am free to be who i really am... no pretenses, no broken promises, no fear... just a life packed with hopelessness and unattainable dreams, 'cause im just livin' like i shld... my life..." everyone has hopes and dreams but dun they know that hope is the denial of reality and that dreams will forever be just dreams? Feels kinnda good to see my 1st paycheck from my 1st full time job. I mean, i've seen money being credited into my bank account before but it was all either from part-timing or worse still (National Service) and it totally feels different. Heck, i think im just being weird. 1st roster for the month of december is out, will be flying to Taipei on the 6th, Maldives on the 10th, and Chennai on the 13th for my SNY(Supernumerary) flights where we are to observe, learn and ask questions from those already with flying experience meaning essentially, we're tagging along for the ride. 1st Solo will be to Penang (i know, WTH?!$@%$#^!&) on xmas eve and Amsterdam on xmas day for my 2nd solo. Considered a pretty decent roster by my batch's standard. Im definitely having one of the better rosters considering out of 19 of us, only 4 of us got flights to Europe and all were guys, none of the gals got any Europe bound flights. ouch. Training's a bitch these days, moving on to the safety evacuation procedures training which is damn dry and boring. Falling asleep in class is a pretty common occurrence which seems to infuriate the instructor. Oh well... we cant exactly help it can we? did the 1st slide jump from the simulator. Damn fun. Doing ditching in the wave pool next thurs, something to look forward to other than the monotonous theory lessons everyday. even after payday, still kinnda broke after paying off all the bills and what nots. Still have SNY and Solo flights coming up. Gotta buy luggage bag, change currency to spend. money money money. poor broke damian. lucky payday coming soon but doubt it's enough. There are times when democracy fails in its essence to provide everyone with an equal voice to make their opinions and ideas known. Because, instead of making the process more efficient, we create too many options for everyone to be divided over. Everyone wants to contribute but everyone thinks their ideas are the best and would not be open to someone else's idea. This is especially so, when people are reluctant to abide by the decisions agreed upon by the majority of the group. In the end, time, effort and energy is spent and wasted on answering and re-answering the same questions over and over again under the guise of being fair and democratic when actually people are trying to manipulate the vote to swing in their favor. It is this redundant and time wasting process that gets me pissed off and riled up. It becomes worse when they refuse to take up the position and the responsibility but yet throws their weight around during discussions and tries to shove their opinions down our throats. DU-LANZ. That's the perfect statement to describe my sentiment. Can't be bothered no more, shall just go with the flow. Come what may and just do whatever that's necessary. Fuck it. |
